ABOUT ME

“When I die, I would like to be buried with Post-It notes and Sharpies.”

MY STORY

In early 2019 I had over a decade of work and experience in the mental health field. I was depleted and ready for a new challenge. As a creative problem-solver I have been interested in graphic design and user experience, I was always envious of my friends who were working in the field. So, in late 2019 I decided to take a leap and plunge into the world of design.

From 2019 up until now my design career has moved forward at a rapid pace. In 2021 I graduated from Seattle Central Creative Academy (SCCA), a competitive and rigorous design school. During my time at SCCA I fell in love with UX, particularly research.

Upon graduation I completed a certification in User Experience with a specialty in UX Research with NN/g. From there I worked as a UX consultant helping a creative agency in Indonesia, Percolate Galactic. I also contributed as a conversational designer at SameSame Collective a beta WhatsApp chatbot using Turn and Textit. In November 2021 I was hired as a UX Associate at Forum One. I hit the ground running at Forum One, and was quickly promoted to a Lead User Experience Designer.

I accepted a position at Evoke MicroMass in February 2023. As a User Experience Designer in the Behavioral Design Department I get the unique opportunity to work in the healthcare space, creating meaningful change in the lives of patients.

In addition to my day-to-day work at Evoke MicroMass, I have brought together my mental health and UX expertise, specializing in trauma-informed design and accessibility. In October 2022, I became a certified Trauma Support Specialist and am currently in the process of developing a formal training for design conferences and workshops.
